A recent working meeting in Mainz further strengthened the long-standing cooperation between the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and the Department of Business and Economics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. The discussions focused on the further development of the German-language study program at SGH and the German-Polish Double Degree Program.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-image>\n\n\n

For more than 30 years, the Department of Business and Economics at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and the Polish-German Academic Forum at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics have maintained close cooperation in student and faculty exchange.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This partnership is built on regular working meetings in Mainz and Warsaw as well as many years of generous financial support from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). At the most recent meeting on September 28, 2026, partners came together in Mainz to further develop key areas of the cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During an intensive morning session with the core project team, current issues relating to the two main pillars of the partnership were discussed: the German-language study program at SGH and the German-Polish Double Degree Program. Among other things, the participants developed ideas for further enhancing the study program and increasing the number of applicants to the double degree program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the afternoon, the group was joined by additional participants who play an important role in the cooperation. Dr. Stefanie Klossok, Managing Director of the Gutenberg School of Business Mainz, reflected with the Polish colleagues on a recent study trip by MBA students to SGH.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A number of faculty members from the Department of Business and Economics also contributed to the discussions. Through their involvement in the visiting lecturer program, they enable SGH students to attend German-language block courses and earn a certificate as part of the so-called German-language study program (Deutschsprachiger Studiengang, DSG). Representing many other JGU lecturers who have contributed to the program in recent years, Prof. Dr. Reyn Van Ewijk, Prof. Dr. Salvatore Barbaro, Eva Pfundt, Timo M\u00fcnz, and Paul Witte took part in the exchange on the further development of the DSG course portfolio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting also provided an opportunity to explore additional forms of cooperation in research and teaching. It once again highlighted the considerable potential of German-Polish collaboration in business and economics for the years ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-buttonitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-buttonitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-buttonitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-button>\n\n\n
