To pursue a doctorate at JGU, you must meet several requirements \u2013 formal, academic, and, if applicable, language-related. For example, you need to provide proof of a completed university degree from Germany or an equivalent qualification from abroad (such as a Diplom, Magister, Master\u2019s degree, or Staatsexamen). In addition, you must have a confirmation of supervision from a professor at JGU. <\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/jgu-base-section>\n

Through the \u201cGraduate School of Economics, Finance, and Management\u201d (GSEFM), Goethe University Frankfurt and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz offer up to 200 doctoral students and 80 master\u2019s students from around the world a first-class, English-language education in economics, finance, and management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-buttonitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-button><\/div><\/div>\n<\/jgu-base-section>\n

The Gutenberg Graduate School of the Humanities and Social Sciences (GSHS) offers an integrated support and mentoring program specifically tailored to the needs of early-career researchers in the humanities and social sciences. These offers promote interdisciplinary exchange and methodological reflection, contributing to both academic and societal broadening of perspectives. In addition, the GSHS provides opportunities for financial support. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-buttonitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-button>\n\n\n

The Brownbag Seminar is an informal research seminar for students and faculty. It takes place on Tuesdays from 12 a.m. until 1 p.m. in room RW 5 (Neues ReWi). The seminar serves the purpose of giving doctoral students and faculty a platform for presenting their current research. Talks about unfinished projects or even project ideas are particularly welcome. The talks are held in English. All faculty members and students are kindly invited to attend the seminar. Please feel free to bring your lunch along. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \n<\/jgu-base-buttonitem>\n\n<\/jgu-base-button><\/div><\/div>\n<\/jgu-base-section>
