The Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Goethe University Frankfurt (GU) and the Gutenberg School of Management & Economics of the Faculty of Law, Management and Economics of Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU) have established a joint Ethics Committee as of December 7, 2016. It is open to all members of the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at GU and of the Gutenberg School of Management & Economics at JGU.
The application process has two stages:
To submit your application, please start off by filling out the “Checklist for exempt status”. If you respond to Checklist 1 with a “Yes” or “Don’t Know” then a medical ethics committee is responsible for your project. We are unable to process your request and you should refer directly to a medical ethics committee.
If you respond to both questions with a “No” then please continue to fill out Checklist 2. If in Checklist 2 you respond to every question with a “No” then your research project is not subject to the joint Ethics Committee’s obligation to assess. If you require a certificate stating that your research project is ethically acceptable, sign and submit your checklists via email (firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com).
If in Checklist 2 you respond to one or more questions with a “Yes” or “Don’t Know” then your research project is subject to the obligation to assess and a full application will be required. Please fill out the application form and submit it with the checklist via email (firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com).
